App & Gear Reviews
Recently I purchased an Akai MPD 218. I bought it specifically to use with BeatMaker 3 and possibly other apps, but my main focus for now is to use it in the aforementioned DAW. In this review I will go over the pros, cons and features of this MIDI Drum Pad Controller. Also is you're interested here is a set of presets that I created to make use of controller.
Recently I purchased a Teenage Engineering Po 33 KO. Since I have had it, I have literally not been able to put it down. It's almost as if I have been trying to make up for lost time for all of the time that I should have had this sampler. Anyhow in the short time that I have had it I learned that a case is probably the best option for the it because it's small and not enclosed at all. For $23 this case is an absolute no brainer.
Recently I purchased a Roli Seaboard Blocks controller and in this video I will be giving my initial impressions as well as using it to create a track in GarageBand on iOS. Over the next few weeks as I learn more about how to use it I will be posting more videos as well as any tips and tricks that I learn along the way.
Today we will be taking a look at Lo-Fly Dirt by MSXII Sound Design. In this video I am testing it out on an entire drum buss as well as on individual drums and synth sounds. This plug-in is available on the app store and works as an Audio Unit Plugin and will work with any app that is an AU Host.
Lo Fly Dirt is available on the App Store here.
